Back from RMAF 2023
It was a great weekend at the “Rocky Mountain Archtop Festival” in Denver, CO, in September.
Guitarists, luthiers, amplifier manufacturers—everyone who’s anyone in the archtop scene has answered Peter Henriksen’s call: Bruce Forman, Frank Vignola, Jimmy Bruno, Rodney Jones, Jocelyn Gould, Beth Marlis, Ted Ludwig—you name it …
The guitar exhibition featured 27 manufacturers, including Zimnicky Guitars, Megan Wells, Benedetto, Sadowsky, and, of course, yours truly.
To that end, a wide-ranging supporting program was offered to the large audience in attendance: workshops, lectures, films, and seminars. There was something for everyone. Plus, the opportunity to meet the best guitarists on the archtop scene in person, chat with them at the bar, or watch them play during jam sessions.
A big thank you to Peter Henriksen, head of Henriksen Amplifiers, who organized this fantastic event. The new dates have already been set: September 12–15, 2024. A visit to this festival is well worth the trip for any jazz guitar enthusiast!
