Scott Henderson plays Sonntag Gitarren

I’m delighted to welcome Scott Henderson as a new member of the Sonntag-playersfamily.

Scott is best known as a fusion guitarist, where he primarily plays solid-body guitars. But he’s just as capable of delivering mainstream jazz or bebop. For this purpose, he’s purchased a J16H Sonntag Ballade.

About two years ago, he borrowed Bruce Forman’s Ballade to use it on the track “Chelsea Bridge” from his CD “Vibe Station” (a CD well worth listening to!). That got him hooked, and I was, of course, thrilled when he commissioned the same model from me. However, he received his guitar without the “Bruce Forman” inscription on the headstock. Instead, it says “Scott Henderson,” of course.

I consider it a great honor to count a guitarist of his caliber among my Sonntag players. I hope that Scott will be inspired by his new Ballade to create many more beautiful, acoustic-sounding jazz tracks!
